Bo Nix, QB, Denver Broncos: Denver head coach Sean Payton had his sights set on Nix very early in the 2024 NFL Draft process, and the 60-year-old coach landed his guy with the No. 11 overall pick. Nix is in a training camp battle with Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson for the Broncos' starting quarterback job, but there is very little doubt that the former Oregon and Auburn standout will take over as the team's full-time starter at some point in 2024. In his final collegiate season, Nix completed 77.4% of his passes for 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
"Nix at least steps into a situation with a coach that helped mold Drew Brees into a Hall of Fame quarterback after four solid seasons in San Diego. Payton has praised Nix's ball location and accuracy, and the passing volume should be there for a Denver team likely playing from behind more often than not. All that's left for Nix is to win the starting job to have top-14 potential," White told SportsLine.
Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers; Musgrave struggled at times as a rookie, but there is a reason the former Oregon State standout was a second round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-6 and 253 pounds, Musgrave is a physically imposing tight end that has the ability to be a red zone weapon. The Packers now have Jordan Love's contract situation figured out, and his rapport with Musgrave should only improve in their second season together.
"We had Musgrave on our list last year and it didn't pay off, as he only sporadically saw enough targets to be startable in Fantasy. But we know that rookie tight ends often struggle, and he has the ability to make a leap in Year 2 in a passing game without an established pecking order.
