Arlington, Texas—Major League Baseball and the Texas Rangers today launched the 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot presented by BuildSubmarines.com for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, which will be held on Tuesday, July 16 at Globe Life Field.
The 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot once again features two phases of fan voting to determine All-Star starters. Beginning today, fans can cast their votes exclusively online and via mobile devices at rangers.com/vote, the MLB App, and the MLB Ballpark App until the voting period for Phase 1 concludes at 11:00 a.m. CT on Thursday, June 27. During the initial voting period, fans can submit up to five ballots each day that voting is open.
The top two vote-getters at each position (and top six outfielders) will advance to Phase 2 with voting beginning on Sunday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m. CT and concluding on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. The leading vote-getter in each league during the first phase of voting will receive an automatic starting assignment at the All-Star Game and bypass the second phase of voting.
During the second phase of the voting, in which fans can vote once per day at rangers.com/voting and other MLB platforms, vote totals will reset. The elected starters for the 2024 All-Star Game will be announced on MLB Network at 6:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 30.
The Rangers have several initiatives planned for Phase 1 of the voting because the All-Star Game in Texas “needs more Texas!” Details for the Texas Rangers 2024 All-Star voting:
NINE RANGERS ON THE ALL-STAR BALLOT: Major League Baseball announced today the nine players for each team on the 2024 All-Star ballot for Phase 1 voting. Rangers on the ballot are 1B Nathaniel Lowe, 2B Marcus Semien, 3B Josh Smith, SS Corey Seager, OFs Evan Carter, Adolis García, and Leody Taveras, C Jonah Heim, and DH Josh Jung.
Semien (2B), Seager (SS), Jung (3B), and Heim (C) were elected as American League All-Star starters in 2023 while García started in RF for the injured Aaron Judge to make the Rangers just the fifth team ever with as many as five All-Star starting position players. RHP Nathan Eovaldi was selected to the A.L. pitching staff, giving Texas at least six All-Stars for the third time in club history.
Seager has been selected to four All-Star teams (2-NL; 2-AL) while García and Semien are each two-time All-Stars. Heim and Jung made their first All-Star appearances in 2023 in Seattle.
ALL-STAR TICKET OFFER: By participating in the 2024 All-Star voting at rangers.com/vote, fans will receive a special offer good for a 25% discount on tickets to selected Rangers home games during the 2024 season (eligible games will all follow the All-Star Game). The discount will apply to seats in six different seating areas at Globe Life Field. Fans can purchase up to eight tickets per transaction. Details on how to access the All-Star ticket offer will be emailed to fans following them casting votes at rangers.com/vote.
HURTADO BARBECUE TO BE RANGERS ELECTION HEADQUARTERS: Hurtado Barbecue’s Arlington location is being branded the Rangers Election Headquarters for 2024 All-Star Game voting. Located at 205 East Front St. in Arlington, the restaurant will sport a full Rangers takeover with custom t-shirts worn by the staff, special tray liners touting the team’s All-Star candidates, and special All-Star wall graphics, menu boards, and table tents. At Hurtado’s Arlington location, customers will be able to order fully loaded barbecue platters that include Corey’s Combo, Semien’s Sampler, El Bombi, and The Boch. Hurtado is the official barbecue of the Texas Rangers and also has a Globe Life Field location that is open for all home games.
To kick off Phase 1 of All-Star voting, Josh Jung and Josh Smith will stop by to greet customers during the lunch hour at Hurtado’s Arlington location on Friday, June 7 (exact time to be announced).
The 2024 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard will mark the second Midsummer Classic to be hosted by the Rangers as the 1995 All-Star Game was played at The Ballpark in Arlington. The AL All-Star Team will be managed by Bruce Bochy of the defending World Series Champion Rangers.
